A 226 year old Koi fish was the longest living fish ever recorded. She was a beautiful female fish living in Japan, and passed away in July of 1977.
Her name was Hanako.
Translated Hanako means " flower girl" and in honor of this legendary Koi, i not only titled this piece after her, but gave her a place in the stars to live eternally.
